The Institute for Advanced Studies in Aging & Geriatric Medicine, IASIA is a non-profit biomedical research and educational organization that accelerates the pace of scientific discovery in the multi-faceted field of human aging by both conducting needed clinical research and facilitating education by uniting researchers, educators, and clinicians.

Since its founding in 1985, the Institute has pursued its mission in the international arena and has become:

A leader
identifying and supporting medical research priorities in the burgeoning fields of aging and geriatric medicine.

A catalyst
fostering education, communication, and alliances among research teams around the world by sponsoring symposia and conferences.

A bridge
linking scientists to both health care practitioners and consumers, so that the aging population can benefit as early as possible from advances in medical science.

A facilitator
performing much needed medical research in older adults through a coordinated clinical trials mechanism that we developed for the geriatric population.

A clinic
providing compassionate consultation and compassionate care for older patients.
